Job summary

Kids N Fitness North in Decatur, IL is seeking an Assistant Director to join a family‑oriented early childhood education team. This full‑time role supports the Director in program development, staff guidance, and positive classroom leadership.

Qualified candidates must have IL Director Qualification and prior licensed childcare experience as a Lead Teacher; leadership experience is preferred. Compensation is $23–$25 per hour.

Qualifications

• IL Director Qualification required.
• Previous experience in a licensed childcare facility as a Lead Teacher.
• Strong preference for managerial/leadership experience in a childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with developing and executing ongoing activities for child and staff development.
• Assist with enrollment activities, including tours and distributing marketing materials.
• Ensure state and company licensing regulations are followed via Licensing Checks.
• Provide guidance to teachers on curriculum, lesson plans, and classroom organization.
• Establish professional relationships with parents and employees.
• Physical ability to work around small children; lift up to 40 lbs.
