Job summary

Redwood Terrace, a HumanGood life plan community in Escondido, CA, is seeking an experienced Assistant Director, Dining Services to help lead exceptional, hospitality-focused dining operations.

Working alongside dining and culinary leadership, this role oversees front-of-house service, team development, resident satisfaction, compliance, special events, and operational goals across multiple venues. The Assistant Director may lead dining operations in the Director's absence.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of front-of-house leadership experience in hospitality, senior living, or healthcare dining.
• Knowledge of food service operations and dining styles.
• Food Protection Manager certification (e.g., ServSafe).
• CDM, DSS, or related bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing front-of-house dining, catering, and event operations.
• Leading dining services in the Director's absence.
• Hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and developing team members.
• Addressing resident and guest concerns with exceptional service.
• Ensuring food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
• Supporting inventory, purchasing, labor, and budget management.
• Partnering with culinary leadership to improve dining programs and resident satisfaction.

• Schedule Varies Including Weekends and Holidays **
• Salary Range is based on experience and the range is $75K- $85K annually **

A Day In Life May Include

To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Need

• Dining team management experience preferred.
