Job summary

State of Illinois seeks an Assistant Director for Digital Assets to oversee the administration of digital asset applications, examinations, and registrant supervision within the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Qualifications

• Four years of college with courses in accounting, finance, banking, business, or computer science.
• Four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in accounting, banking, or information systems auditing.
• Five+ years of progressively responsible experience in professional accounting, banking, financial markets, or regulatory compliance (preferred).
• At least one year of experience in the digital asset industry and markets (preferred).
• Three+ years of supervisory experience leading a staff of five or more (preferred).
• Master's degree in accounting, finance, business, or computer science (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Administers overall management of digital asset applications, examination, and supervision of digital asset registrants within the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• Directs support and management personnel and oversees compliance initiatives related to digital assets and underlying technologies.
• Serves as spokesperson for the Director at internal and external meetings.
• Stays current on digital asset market trends, virtual currency investments, data privacy, and anti-money laundering initiatives.
