Lead collaborative efforts with university departments and committees to ensure digital accessibility and institutional compliance of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and applicable regulations. Reports to Director, Digital and Student Accessibility Services.

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Provide leadership of institutional efforts to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant state and federal legislation and regulations as it pertains to digital accessibility, including websites, instructional materials, software platforms, and all university digital platforms.
Coordinate regular meetings of digital accessibility stakeholders to ensure consistent communication.
Assist with creation and maintenance of policies and procedures for digital accessibility compliance.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of university digital content to identify accessibility barriers and recommend remediation strategies.
Provide training and consultation to relevant stakeholders on accessible design principles and digital accessibility tools.
Oversee the integration of assistive technologies and accessible formats for students with disabilities in digital learning environments.Represent the university on statewide accessibility committees and consortiums.
Represent the department and division on university wide committees.
Supervise unclassified staff.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or relevant field. Three years' experience in information technology services, assistive technology, or digital accessibility.

Section 508 and WCAG 2.0/2.1 Level AA compliance and implementation
Evaluating and remediating digital content for accessibility (websites, PDFs, Word, PowerPoint, multimedia)
Personal computer applications
Written verbal, and interpersonal communication
Critical thinking and problem solving
Conducting digital accessibility audits and documenting compliance findings
Collaborating with various constituencies and stakeholders to ensure digital accessibility solutions
Provide direction and leadership to others
Train faculty, staff, and stakeholders on digital accessibility best practices and inclusive design
