Job summary

The Arc Southern Chesapeake is seeking an Assistant Director, Community Supports to oversee daily operations across multiple locations in Calvert, St. Mary’s, Charles and Anne Arundel counties. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure programs meet quality and regulatory standards.

In this senior leadership role, you will implement the agency’s procedures, foster collaboration among departments, and drive continuous improvement to enhance outcomes for individuals receiving supports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; three years of progressively responsible experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to manage budgets and staff effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and set performance goals; maintain open communication and provide on-the-job mentoring.
• Oversee service delivery and operate programs in line with contracts and policies; monitor performance against goals.
• Manage budgets and funding plans; ensure compliance with funding sources and documentation.
• Maintain relationships with staff, clients, families, and external partners; participate in community events.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure quality improvement and timely follow-up on action items.
