Job summary

Columbus Consolidated Government seeks a knowledgeable Grant Administration professional to assist the Director in managing HUD entitlement grants (CDBG, HOME, ESG) and to prepare mandatory HUD reports.

This role oversees CHDO coordination, financial oversight of federal block grant programs, planning activities, staff supervision, compliance monitoring, and public engagement to ensure compliant, efficient use of resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3–5 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director in HUD entitlement grant administration (CDBG, HOME, ESG).
• Prepares or supervises mandatory HUD reports.
• Oversees CHDO activities and coordinates with CHDOs.
• Coordinates financial activities of the city’s federal block grant programs.
• Maintains financial systems and evaluates regulatory compliance.
• Advises Director on financial and budgetary matters.
• Oversees planning efforts for Consolidated Plan, Annual Action Plans, CAPER.
• Assists in staff management and supervision.
• Assists in policy development and program compliance.
• Facilitates public hearings and responds to inquiries from the public.
