Arcadia University seeks an Assistant Director of Civic Engagement to shape community partnerships and student engagement in a newly formed Strategic Partnerships and Alumni Engagement team. The role fosters connections among students, partners, and the University, including through civic service, advocacy, and social impact work.

The role emphasizes advising Civic Scholars, co-teaching courses, and developing assessment for programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years of experience with college or high school students in higher education or community programs.
• Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining relationships with students, volunteers, community partners, government, campus partners, or other constituents.
• Ability to manage community engagement programs, events, and initiatives, including evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary engagement liaison with community partners hosting Arcadia students as volunteers and through Work-Study or internships.
• Develop ongoing opportunities connecting students with community partners through service, internships, Work-Study, and project-based engagement.
• Plan and implement campus events and programs at varying scales, including orientation and large university-wide initiatives.
