Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of experience in career services, event management, volunteer engagement, or program development, or master’s degree and 1–3 years of experience.
  • Experience in alumni relations, career development, volunteer management, or employer engagement.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to engage alumni, students, and campus partners.
  • Experience managing technology platforms such as CRMs or mentoring systems.
  • Excellent communication, program management, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for creating meaningful connections that benefit students.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Rise Together Mentor Network pipeline and mentoring initiatives.
  • Direct design and continuous improvement of alumni-to-student and alumni-to-alumni mentoring initiatives.
  • Engage student advisors for planning activities.
  • Collaborate with external teams and campus partners to build specialized alumni mentor communities.
  • Develop student-facing workshops and resources for professional etiquette.
  • Recruit, train, and manage alumni and volunteer mentors.
  • Create guides, toolkits, and orientation materials for volunteers.
  • Lead alumni and parent engagement for student career programs.
  • Coordinate logistics for career fairs, alumni-to-student mentoring, industry-aligned experiences.
  • Build and maintain relationships with campus partners for program execution.
  • Establish student peer ambassadors for outreach.
  • Maintain engagement and volunteer data in systems (Graduway, CRM, Handshake).
  • Deliver data-informed insights to partners.
  • Align communication and the student experience across initiatives.
  • Improve workflows and systems for program delivery.
  • Collaborate with marketing to promote programs.
  • Participate in and report on professional development activities.
  • Contribute to event planning and execution.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Networking & Mentoring (40%)
    1. Lead the Rise Together Mentor Network pipeline
    2. Direct design and continuous improvement of alumni‑to‑student and alumni‑to‑alumni mentoring initiatives

    4. Collaborate with external teams and campus partners to build specialized alumni mentor communities

Pay Range Disclosure

$72,900 – $78,300 (based on the role at Brandeis University). Final salary determined by experience, education, and internal equity.
