Job summary

Harvard University’s Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is seeking an Assistant Director of Career Coaching and Education.

The role focuses on expanding access to career opportunities for a diverse, international student and alumni community of 1,200+ master’s and doctoral-level public health students. You will coach individuals and groups, supervise staff, and develop programs and resources to increase career readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years relevant work experience.
• Master's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group coaching across all career development stages.
• Hire and supervise Career Coach/Advisor; onboarding and performance reviews.
• Conduct 10–15 hours of coaching weekly; manage 300+ annual appointments.
• Coordinate comprehensive programs, workshops, and networking events; lead Alumni Job Search Series.
• Lead Student Advisory Committee; build relationships with departments and student orgs.
• Stay current on recruiting trends and opportunities; advise staff accordingly.
• Develop career resources content (print, website) and update as needed.
• Contribute to strategic planning and collaborate with university partners.
