The St. John's University Career Services team strives to ensure equitable access to career resources for all students as they work towards meaningful and satisfying careers.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the growth and sustainability of a comprehensive campus career ecosystem by developing innovative career education content and identifying opportunities for integration across the institution. This individual will deliver high-quality career education programming, provide one-on-one and group career advising, and facilitate meaningful career connections. They will cultivate productive partnerships with faculty to ensure career education is accessible, relevant, and embedded throughout the student experience. Leveraging technology, on-demand resources, outcomes data, and labor market insights, the candidate will provide timely, data-informed career guidance that empowers students to explore opportunities, make informed decisions, navigate career pathways, and achieve their professional goals.
The candidate will be part of a centralized team of career professionals, serving both undergraduate and graduate students, and a small population of recent alumni. The Advisor will support the overall effectiveness of the Career Services Department and the Division of Student Affairs.
This full-time opportunity offers potential for partial remote work after an initial orientation period. Typically, in the office 4-5 days per week during the semester with increased flexibility on breaks and during the summer.
