Job summary

Arizona State University is seeking an Administrative Operations Manager 2 for the West campus. The role leads Sun Devil Fitness and Wellness, guiding staff and student workers, monitoring budgets, and aligning programs with university priorities to support student well‑being and academic success.

The position is based at ASU West Valley with an emphasis on strategic leadership, program development, and collaboration across campus partners. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience including two (2) years managerial experience
• Experience in managing and developing employees or teams in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and budgets

Responsibilities

• Manages the intermediate to complex operations of a department; monitors budget and prepares reports for senior management
• Oversees planning, organizing, and tactical leadership of the Sun Devil Fitness and Wellness department at the campus level
• Directly supervises 1-3 full-time staff and coordinates student staff across departments
• Manages student wage budgets and departmental programming budgets; ensures programs align with campus priorities
• Collaborates with the Dean of Students office on engagement programs and with Housing and Academic colleges
• Assists in strategic planning with SDFW leadership and location leadership
• Upholds program and operational protocols and risk management practices
• Performs program assessments to determine ongoing student needs
