Job summary

Memphis Jewish Community Center seeks an Assistant Director of Camp, Youth and Family Services to help grow and implement program goals aligned with Jewish values in Memphis, TN. The role involves supporting Day Camp, J Club After School, Family Programming, and Camp 365 while working closely with the department director.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, camp experience, and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Demonstrated experience in youth/summer camp programming.
• Knowledge, or willingness to learn, of Jewish culture and traditions.
• CPR/First Aid/AED Certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to balance administrative tasks with direct services.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of short and long-term program goals in keeping with the Center's mission.
• Support Day Camp, J Club After School Program, Family Programming, and Camp 365.
• Work closely with the Youth, Camp and Family Services Director to align programs with goals.
• Balance administrative tasks with direct service responsibilities.
