Job summary

Boston University seeks an Assistant Director for Awarding in Student Financial Services on the medical campus. You will oversee the timely review of financial aid applications, determine eligibility, award aid, and provide counseling to students and families.

Reporting to ENSA leadership, you will mentor staff, coordinate with the School of Medicine and other units, and ensure compliance with federal and institutional policies.

Qualifications

• A cover letter is required for consideration.
• Cover letter must be included in application materials.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial aid policies is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Advise students and families within a caseload via phone, email, and in person.
• Organize and review financial aid applications; main contact for campus colleagues on eligibility.
• Serve as administrative liaison for service and non-service stipends.
• Reconcile and evaluate confidential data on applications.
• Determine student eligibility for financial aid.
• Award and certify Federal Graduate PLUS and private loans.
