Job summary

Miami University (Ohio) seeks an Assistant Director Sport & Facility, Athletics Operations to lead equipment, inventory, and facility duties at Millett Hall. You’ll ensure proper issuance, laundering, maintenance, and readiness for assigned teams in line with NCAA, MAC, and Miami policies.

The role oversees budgeting, vendor relationships, and supervision of student managers, with a 40-hour work week and Involvement in athletic department operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sports/Athletic Administration, Physical Education, Game Operations, or Athletic Facility Management; less than 12 months of experience; AEMA Certified. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience providing the knowledge/skills/abilities listed above may be substituted.
• Experience in these knowledge/skills/abilities may be earned concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Issue athletic equipment & apparel for assigned teams at the specified location and teams (25%).
• Prepare & order athletic equipment & apparel for assigned teams within fiscal resources allocated (15%).
• Maintenance & repair of athletic equipment, apparel and locker rooms (15%).
• Inventory of athletic equipment & apparel for assigned teams (10%).
• Launder athletic equipment, apparel, sports medicine supplies, and game operations supplies (20%).
• Assist in budget & billing for teams; build relationships with on-campus and external vendors (5%).
• Supervise, train, develop, & budget assigned student managers (10%).
