Job summary

Firefly Supported Living & Employment Services is seeking an Assistant Director of Assistive Technology in Springfield, MO to lead remote support teams and advance technology-enabled services that promote independence for clients.

You will collaborate with organizational leaders to expand remote monitoring, oversee staffing and equipment, and ensure service quality and compliance while meeting budget goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year supervising Remote Support Staff or related supervisory experience in remote monitoring.
  • Basic knowledge of services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; ability to mediate, compromise, and collaborate across teams.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Knowledge of service provision field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Remote Support Staff and Supervisors; provide guidance and direction for daily operations.
  • Partner with Director to grow remote monitoring and assistive technology services.
  • Support department budget goals and improve performance of remote monitoring operations.
  • Coordinate daily activities for Remote Support Supervisors and promote cross-team collaboration.
  • Ensure appropriate employee-to-client ratios at remote support stations.
  • Oversee installation and removal of remote support and assistive technology equipment.
  • Review service documentation for accuracy and compliance.

The position requires repetitive movements of the hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during the work shift.Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may include walking or standing for brief periods.
