Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Saint Louis, Missouri is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to support clinical excellence, staff development, and high-quality service delivery. You will supervise, coach, and mentor direct reports, assist with onboarding and training, and help ensure ongoing compliance with treatment plans.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a social service-related field and at least three years of experience in a behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social service-related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a social services or behavioral health setting.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, coaching, and mentorship to direct reports through regular supervision meetings and field observations.
• Support onboarding processes for new team members, including orientation, training plans, and development coaching.
• Monitor clinical documentation and service notes to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing feedback and support performance improvement during supervision sessions.
• Track and evaluate team performance related to access, efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability.
• Monitor service delivery processes and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
• Review outcomes against treatment plans to support continuous improvement.
• Accompany staff in the field to provide feedback, coaching, and performance evaluation.
• Promote recovery-focused, trauma-informed, and culturally competent service delivery.
