Job summary

University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences seeks an IT Assistant Director, Application Development and Integration to lead a team delivering application development and integration services.

You will drive SDLC, build secure, scalable solutions, and partner with IT and business leaders to align with university priorities. The role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise across full‑stack development, APIs, cloud platforms, and data governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Master’s or MBA degree with IT or Cybersecurity concentration preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive IT experience including leadership of application development/integration teams in a collaborative IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of application development and integration staff and contractors, setting clear expectations and growth opportunities.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership for development, configuration, integration, and product support; oversee SDLC.
• Establish and maintain coding standards, testing, documentation, deployment, and CI/CD practices.
• Ensure security and compliance throughout the application lifecycle, including access controls and vulnerability remediation.
• Oversee vendor relationships, contract and SLA management, and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate resources and priorities to align with University strategy and budgets.
• Support continuous improvement of reliability, performance, and operational effectiveness.
