Job summary

Awty International School in Houston seeks an Assistant Director of Advancement for Alumni Engagement to lead the alumni program, plans, events, and communications. This role collaborates with leadership and the Alumni Board to grow engagement and philanthropic support, while maintaining data accuracy and visitor leadership.

You will work evenings and weekends as needed, engage volunteers, and deepen connections between current students and alumni to support the school’s mission and fundraising

Qualifications

• Passion and dedication to Awty’s mission.
• Minimum of three years of alumni relations, advancement, development, membership, or related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with editorial judgment.
• Demonstrated intercultural competence and ability to build relationships across diverse groups.
• Proven event planning and project management experience from concept to evaluation.
• Familiarity with donor databases and ability to learn queries and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision, direction, and oversight of a comprehensive Alumni Program.
• Develop multi-year growth plans for the alumni program.
• Lead Alumni Board governance, meeting agendas, and board succession planning.
• Create a full events program serving local and regional alumni.
• Identify alumni with philanthropic capacity and solicit donors.
• Design and execute a communications plan across email, social media, and website.
• Maintain data integrity with alumni contact, career, and milestone information.
• Engage alumni volunteers and manage campus visit program.
• Track metrics and report engagement outcomes to leadership and Trustees.
