Job summary

Malone Center is seeking an Assistant Director for the Out-of-School (OOS) program, acting as the second-in-command and operational partner to the Director. The role translates program design into daily and weekly plans, supervises staff, and ensures quality, safety, and compliance on the program floor.

You will supervise frontline staff and volunteers, conduct staff trainings, and manage schedules, timekeeping, and coverage while maintaining strong family and school partnerships and data review

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an education- or youth-focused field.
• Minimum of three years experience in youth development, after-school, or summer programming, with supervisory responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to coach staff and hold others accountable to clear standards.
• Proficiency with computer systems, online portals, recordkeeping, email, and reporting tools.
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Translate the Director’s program design into weekly activity plans, staffing assignments, and daily schedules.
• Oversee delivery of academic support, enrichment clubs, recreation, and youth development activities for K-8.
• Supervise frontline staff and volunteers; lead onboarding and ongoing trainings.
• Maintain daily attendance, CACFP records, and licensing documentation for compliance.
• Coordinate family communications and community engagement.
