Job summary

Tulane University's Goldman Center for Student Accessibility seeks an Assistant Director to lead daily operations, manage staff and student workers, determine eligibility for accommodations, and coordinate outreach with faculty and IT professionals. The role also oversees the AIM system and related accessibility initiatives.

The position reports to campus leadership, supports a diverse student population, and participates in committees to advance inclusion and access across the university.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex cases with interdisciplinary referrals.
• Master’s degree in education, higher education, student personnel, disability studies or related field.
• Experience with AIM case management software or similar systems.
• Understanding of assistive technologies such as Kurzweil, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Inspiration, Texthelp Read&Write, JAWS, ZoomText, MathType, Ginger.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Goldman Center for Student Accessibility.
• Hire and train graduate and undergraduate student workers.
• Determine eligibility for services and provide counseling throughout the accommodation process.
• Coordinate outreach with faculty, lecturers, graduate assistants, and IT professionals.
• Oversee the AIM system and the center website.
• Represent the center on campus committees and provide training for stakeholders.
