Job summary

Mercer University is seeking an Assistant Director of Academic Advising and Student Services to provide leadership for day-to-day advising and student success initiatives within the School of Business. The role supports onboarding, retention, and degree completion across Macon and Atlanta campuses.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and relevant advising/admissions experience, with travel and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required.
• One year of experience in university advising/admissions/recruiting or related corporate experience is required.
• Valid driver's license as travel is required.
• Preferred: Master's Degree in Business related field.
• Campus Nexus experience is preferred.
• Ability to remain composed and communicate effectively under pressure; build trust-based relationships.
• Team player committed to student success.
• Experience with adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day academic advising and student services within the School of Business.
• Oversee student support services operations and reporting.
• Coordinate advising initiatives and interventions for students.
• Collaborate with faculty, admissions, enrollment management, career services, and partnerships.
• Support enrollment growth, onboarding, retention, and student engagement.
