Job summary

La Petite Academy in Topeka, KS is seeking an Assistant Director to help ensure the safe, effective operation of the school alongside the School Director. You will support the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children, supervise staff, and help maintain licensing and quality standards while promoting a caring, inclusive learning environment.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have leadership experience and at least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director.
• In the Director's absence, assume sole school responsibility.
• Support the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children.
• Ensure compliance with company and state licensing standards.
• Foster a caring, safe environment for children and parents.
• Spark imagination and build self-esteem in children.
• Promote a positive image of the company in the community.
• Recruit, select, and retain high-quality staff.

The Assistant Director is responsible for the safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director, to achieve Learning Care Group\u2019s safety vision. In the Directors absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school. The Assistant Director assists in the promotion of the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.
