Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking an Assistant Director to oversee daily school operations alongside the School Director. You will help promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.

In the Director’s absence, you will assume sole responsibility for the school. The role emphasizes staff recruitment, training, and maintaining compliance with state licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director.
• In the Director’s absence, assume sole responsibility for the school.
• Support social, physical, and intellectual growth of children.
• Foster an educational, caring, safe environment for children and parents.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.

The Assistant Director is responsible for the safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director, to achieve Learning Care Group’s safety vision. In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school. The Assistant Director assists in the promotion of the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have previous leadership experience and at least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements.
