Funtastic Daycare LLC in Norristown, PA is seeking an Assistant Director to help lead our team and ensure high-quality early education. This role combines hands-on classroom support with strategic oversight of daily operations, staff development, and family relationships.

You will work closely with the Center Director, mentor teaching staff, oversee licensing compliance, manage schedules, and plan family events, while stepping into classrooms when needed to maintain ratios.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with enrolled families and prospective clients.
• Assist with staff onboarding, scheduling, and daily room placements.
• Oversee classroom environments for safety, cleanliness, and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Step into classrooms to work with children to maintain ratios when needed.
• Plan, organize, and manage family events and additional activities.
• Manage inventory and assist with meal service.
• Lead the center in the Director's absence when required.

Requirements

• Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in a childcare or early education leadership role
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic personality
• Warm, professional demeanor with a genuine passion for child development
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced childcare environment
• Knowledge of Pennsylvania childcare licensing regulations and DHS requirements preferred
• Willingness to obtain required clearances, physical and TB test, and CPR/First Aid Certification
