A+ Childcare and Learning Center of Yorktown is seeking an Assistant Director who is a self-motivated, energetic leader in training and passionate about early childhood education. This on-site role offers Monday through Friday shifts with a rotating schedule, a compensation range of $22–$24 per hour, and a generous benefits package including dental, medical, vision, a 401k match, and paid trainings.

A+ Childcare and Learning Center of Yorktown is a licensed childcare center seeking a Assistant Director! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic leader in training who is passionate about early childhood education.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a bachelor's or associate degree in early childhood education or a relevant field and one year of programmatic experience OR 48 semester hours with 12 semester hours in early childhood education or a relevant field.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, rotating schedule, 6:30am-3:30pm and 9am-6pm

Compensation: $22-24/hour, based on education and experience

Our Hiring Process:

1. Resume screen
2. Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes)
3. On-site interview with Center Director (60 minutes)
4. Virtual Interview with Regional Director (45-60 minutes)

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director with developing and executing an on-going program of activities that contribute to the care, growth and development of the children and staff
• Assist the Director with enrollment activities, including tours, distribution of marketing materials to potential families
• Assist the Director with ensuring all State and Company Regulations are always being followed using Licensing Checks
• Provide guidance to teachers for creative curriculum, lesson plans, and classroom organization
• Establish professional and supportive relationships with parents and employees connected to the operation of the center.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role
