Job summary

Learning Care Group seeks an Assistant Director to ensure safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director and to step in when the Director is unavailable. You will promote social, physical, and intellectual growth for children, foster a caring environment, and lead a team to deliver high-quality care.

Ideal candidates have leadership experience in licensed childcare, a HS diploma, and a commitment to compliance with licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have previous leadership experience and at least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director.
• Assist in promoting social, physical, and intellectual growth of children.
• In the Director’s absence, assume sole responsibility for the school.
• Foster an educational, caring, safe environment for children and parents.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.

In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school.
