You will translate complex information for varied audiences, develop editorial standards, collaborate with MIT stakeholders,
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS, EDITORIAL, MIT Admissions and Student Financial Services, to serve as a member of the Communications + Special Projects team with a focus on editorial operations and online community management. Reports to the Director of Communications and Special Projects and writes, edits, and reviews print and digital publications, presentations, and reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the respective voices and missions of both offices; develops and maintains editorial standards; works with stakeholders and subject-matter experts across MIT to translate complex information for varied audiences, synthesize feedback, build consensus, and move multistakeholder editorial projects through publication; helps manage and mentor student workers, including admissions bloggers; monitors and represents the offices, as appropriate, in relevant online communities and platforms; and advises the Director on developments in digital strategy and community engagement.
