BCI Brands in New York seeks an Assistant Designer to support the design team from concept through production for women’s dresses. Work closely with the Design Director to translate trends into samples and final lines.

Responsibilities include building design boards, sketches, tech packs, sourcing fabrics, and updating PLM data. Portfolio required; 2+ years in fashion and proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop are expected. Salary $24-$27/hour, full-time.

Competenze

• Minimum 2+ years of fashion industry experience (internships count)
• Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred
• Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop; knowledge of Procreate a plus
• Familiarity with tech packs and PLM systems (Exenta knowledge is a bonus)
• Portfolio required (student or professional work welcome)

This role is ideal for someone early in their fashion career who’s eager to learn, support senior designers, and contribute to the full design process—from concept through production. The Assistant Designer will work closely with the Design Director on the development of the line.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of women’s dresses from concept to production
• Support in building design boards, sketching flats, and updating tech packs
• Help organize and maintain design sheets and seasonal line plans
• Research trends, colors, and materials relevant to the active and sportswear market

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of fashion industry experience (internships count!)

• Basic understanding of garment construction and patterns
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; knowledge of Procreate a plus
• Familiarity with tech packs and PLM systems (Exenta knowledge is a bonus)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to sketch flats and design concepts digitally
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-first mindset
• Portfolio required (student or professional work welcome)

The salary range for this full-time role is dependent upon experience between $24.00-$27.00/hour.
