Job summary

The CW Group in New York, NY is seeking an Assistant Designer to support design execution and production/sample management for men’s and women’s lines, collaborating with the Design Director, Senior Designers, sales team, and overseas factories to keep development on schedule.

You will handle CAD/tech packs, sketches, showrooms, and sample tracking, maintain design archives, and help prepare boards, with a strong emphasis on organization, communication, and meeting all seasonal deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years fashion industry experience, preferably in design.
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Office.
• Sketching ability with technical accuracy.
• Highly organized and reliable with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of the design team and support development from tech pack to bulk production.
• Create and update sketches, CADs, tech packs, and print artwork.
• Assist Senior Designers with CADs and tech packs as needed.
• Update presentation boards and conduct design and trend research.
• Provide general support to Design and Tech Design teams.
