Job summary

Foodland Super Market in Hawaii is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to join our team in Kapolei. This on-site role involves performing duties of a deli clerk, receiving products, pricing, stocking, and ensuring product freshness and rotation.

You will assist customers, merchandise displays, and may cover for the Deli Manager as needed. Starting pay is from $24.60/hour, with opportunities to grow as you gain experience and take on leadership responsibilities within a busy, locally focused

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year experience in deli department operations.
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 70 pounds.
• TB clearance required.
• Must be 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of an experienced Deli Clerk as assigned.
• Follow procedures for receiving, price marking and restocking to ensure freshness and accuracy.
• Assist customers and merchandise products in display cases and price according to standards.
• Restore and maintain inventory control to maximize sales.
• Able to cover for Deli Manager in their absence.

Assistant Deli Managers are responsible for performing all the duties and job functions of an experienced Deli Clerk. They must follow approved procedures for receiving products, price marking, and restocking cases to ensure quality protection, accuracy, and product rotation. They must follow all inventory control procedures to maximize product freshness, quality, turnover, and availability for maximum sales. They will assist customers and will properly merchandise products in display cases and price correctly according to company standards. Assistant Deli Managers will assume the responsibility of Deli Manager in their absence.

Pay: From $24.60/hour

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 70 pounds
• Must pass physical test
• Must have at least 1 year experience in deli department operations
• Must have TB Clearance
