Job summary

Foodland Super Market, Ltd is seeking a Deli Clerk for on-island placement in Hawaii. The role includes preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing and merchandising deli products, while informing customers about selections and services.

Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred; candidates with open availability will be prioritized for next steps. The position offers hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package varying by position.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must have TB Clearance.
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising the department’s deli products (deli meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, dips, items).
• Informing customers about our deli products and services.
• Help increase sales by handing out food samples and recommending additional items.
• Work with equipment like fryers and slicers and use store intercoms to announce promotions.

Pay: From $18.02/hour

Job-Type: Full-Time (40 hours) and Part -Time (24+ hours)

Service Deli Clerks are responsible but are not limited to the below:

• preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising the department’s deli products. (Deli products include deli meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, dips, gourmet and hot case items.)
• informing customers about our deli products and services
• help increase sales by handing out food samples and by recommending additional items to customers
• work with equipment like fryers and slicers and use store intercoms to announce special promotions and weekly specials.
