OSU-Institute of Technology in Oklahoma is seeking an Assistant Dean of the School of Engineering & Construction Technologies. The role provides operational leadership and support for the School, its faculty, students and programs, reporting to the Dean.

The successful candidate will foster collaboration with constituents, guide policy interpretation, and engage with industry partners to advance initiatives while maintaining high standards of ethics and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Credentials to qualify as faculty member; graduate degree(s) preferred.
  • Three or more years in collaborative management and leadership; higher education administration preferred.
  • Postsecondary teaching experience preferred.

Hiring Range

$75,000 - $90,000

Commensurate with education and experience

About this Position

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Assistant Dean of the School of Engineering & Construction Technologies reports to the Dean and provides operational leadership and support for the School and its personnel, students, programs and services.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Should possess the credentials necessary to qualify as a faculty member for one of the School’s programs; graduate degree(s) highly preferred. Individuals with alternate combinations of credentials and/or experience may be considered.

Experience:

  • Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
  • Three or more years of progressive experience in collaborative management and leadership; experience in higher education administration preferred.
  • Postsecondary teaching experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with various constituencies.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

Licensure/Certification:

  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

  • Knowledge of and experience in working with technology.
  • Ability to research and interpret federal, state, and institutional policies.

  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, exercise decorum in all interactions with stakeholders, and be able to effectively recognize and mitigate conflict.
