Grand Canyon University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences seeks an Assistant Dean of Non-Clinical Programs to provide strategic academic and administrative leadership for online and ground undergraduate and graduate programs in Psychology, Behavioral Health Science, and Mental Health and Wellness.

The role emphasizes faculty development, curriculum oversight, program quality, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with external industry partners, while upholding the university’s

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Psychology, Behavioral Health, or related field.
• Three years of industry-related experience.
• Two years of full-time experience in post-secondary education.
• Collaborative experience with behavioral health agencies preferred.
• Experience teaching traditional and non-traditional students; some level of post-secondary leadership preferred.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Promote Christ-centered worldview in leadership, decision-making, and academic and faculty engagement.
• Foster community, professionalism, and shared purpose among faculty, staff, and students.
• Oversee curriculum and quality instruction for non-clinical programs.
• Develop and implement Work for Credit university initiative in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
• Provide oversight of the Changing Lives Outreach program in collaboration with the coordinator and faculty.
• Address student and faculty issues in the non-clinical programs.
• Assist the dean with budget development and planning; contribute to policy and planning.
• Build external partnerships with industry leaders to support the college.
• Other duties as assigned.
