Assistant Dean for Pre-clerkship Curriculum
The University of South Carolina School of Medicine is seeking a student-centered faculty member to serve as the Assistant Dean for Pre-clerkship Curriculum. Reporting to the Sr. Associate Dean for Medical Education, the Assistant Dean plays a key leadership role in the delivery and advancement of the pre-clerkship curriculum for undergraduate medical education. This position involves working closely with course, block and thread directors, the curriculum committee, and basic science departments to ensure curricular integration, quality, and alignment with the medical school program objectives.
The Assistant Dean also champions initiatives that enhance student success, promote faculty development, and encourage innovation in curriculum design and teaching. Candidates must be eligible for a faculty appointment at the Clinical Associate Professor (or higher) level at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia.
