Job summary

The Pullman School District is seeking an Assistant Cross Country Coach at Lincoln Middle School in Pullman, Washington. The role supports the Head Coach in developing and maintaining a successful athletic program and in mentoring student athletes in competitive cross country running.

Main duties include preparing for games, teaching proper attitudes toward winning and losing, and coordinating player development while adhering to WIAA and district guidelines. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Evidence of successful competitive playing and/or coaching experience.
• Must be 19 years old per WIAA regulations.
• Current First Aid/CPR card.

Responsibilities

• Teach athletic skills and sportsmanship to student athletes.
• Game preparation.
• Present the program to the community.
• Follow WIAA, Bi-State League and district guidelines.
• Provide leadership in developmental programs.
• Coordinate player development and skill levels.
• Collaborate with other school programs.
• Build support from players, parents and community.
• Communicate professionally and maintain confidentiality.
• Work with minimal supervision and be flexible.

19+ years old (WIAA)

Education
