Job Title: Assistant Credit Controller, Credit Specialist

Location: USA - Iselin, Wood Ave, NJ

Division: Air & Sea

Employment Type: Full Time (In-office, not remote)

Job Overview

The Credit Specialist works as a member of the credit team located in Iselin, NJ. The primary responsibility is to compile customer credit information for credit investigations. The candidate works closely with all entities of DSV, supporting all of North America, and reports to the Supervisor of Credit.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and submit Customer Profile Request Forms from customers seeking credit approval or credit uplift.
• Assist in preparation and submission of monthly premium insurance declarations through the Atradius website.
• Conduct credit investigations and analyze diverse credit information based on internal and external credit sources.
• Work proactively to ensure customers do not exceed credit limits.
• Prepare internal and detailed Credit Agreement Forms to determine internal risk where insurance has not been secured.
• Communicate with business and sales teams during the customer application/review process.
• Provide management with comprehensive summary of gathered factors as they pertain to credit risk.
• Perform ad hoc projects as needed.

Skills / Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible experience in a Credit Department (preferred).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, especially VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and Formulas.
• Understanding of D&B and Experian Credit Report data for B2B credit decisions (preferred).
• Ability to interpret and use credit decision factors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise independent judgment.
• Professional, business‑like manner and excellent customer service skills.
• SAP Experience Preferred.

Compensation

Expected base pay range: $22.50 - $30.50 per hour, subject to job‑related factors.
