Qualifications

This team provides legal representation and advice concerning child abuse and/or neglect investigations, dependency and neglect proceedings and appeals, juvenile delinquency matters, adult protection investigations and proceedings, mental health cases, drug and alcohol commitments, public assistance applications and appeals, liquor license violation prosecutions, civil collections, child support services, records requests and subpoenas. To be successful in this position, the Assistant County Attorney must be detail-oriented, have good organizational and negotiation skills, the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and establish and maintain working relationships with clients and co-workers. The Assistant County Attorney will work independently in a technologically advanced, fast-paced, sophisticated, and collegial work environment in our office with county clientsand agencies, elected officials, and the public.The Jefferson County Attorney’s Office consists of 50 attorneys and staffmembers who work collaboratively to provide a full range of legal services to Jefferson County. The County Attorney’s Office provides flexibility in creating a hybrid work schedule, with both in-office and remote work opportunities that promote work-life balance.SCHEDULE:This full-time position operates on a standard work week (Monday-Friday).
