YMCA Virginia Outside School Hours Care is seeking an Assistant Coordinator on a permanent part-time basis to support the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun care for children.

We are a not-for-profit organisation with a strong community focus. The role includes working up to 34.5 hours during term time, with increased hours during vacation care, plus opportunities for career coaching and progression.

Formación

• Diploma in Childrens Services or related ECEC or Teaching qualification (or studying towards).
• Demonstrated experience in childrens programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

About the role

We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Virginia Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You'll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.

We're a not-for-profit organisation with a strong community focus. We've recently been awarded government funding through the ECEC Worker Retention Grant that increases your take home pay and we are investing in the training, support and professional development of our educators.
