Job summary

YMCA Victoria is seeking Casual Educators for OSHC and School Holiday Programs in Torquay, Armstrong Creek and Bannockburn. Shifts are rostered Monday to Friday, with early mornings and after-school hours, and school holiday coverage from 6:30am to 6:30pm. Hourly rate starts at $40.59 plus retention payment and super.

As an OSHC Educator you will empower young children, deliver engaging experiences, and collaborate with an OSHC Coordinator to support families and the school community.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved qualification or enrolment in a course.
• First Aid in an Education & Care Setting certificate (or equivalent).
• Working with Children Check (employee check) valid.
• Foundation National child safety training completed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver OSHC before/after school care sessions and school holiday programs.
• Support positive relationships with children, families and the school community.
• Collaborate with Coordinators and team on engaging activities.

Job description

Y Victoria is currently seeking Casual Educators for our Before and After School Care and School Holiday Programs within our Torquay, Armstrong Creek and Bannockburn locations. This is a casual position, with working hours varying from Monday to Friday, on a rostered basis between 7:00am - 9:00am and 2:30pm - 6:00pm (you'll also be paid split shift loading if you work both)! School Holidays shifts vary across 6:30am - 6:30pm.

The hourly rate for the position is between $40.59 p/hour onwards (depending on your qualification & experience) + ECEC retention payment + super.

As an Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator you will be dedicated to empowering young children and have a passion for providing engaging experiences. Supported by the OSHC team and an experienced Coordinator, you will enhance positive relationships with children, families and the school community while facilitating our Before and After School Care sessions and School Holiday programs.

What will I need?

• You'll need to have either completed or be working towards an ACECQA-approved qualification (see the link below) - or willing to enrol in a course
• You'll need to have, or be willing to obtain a First Aid in an Education & Care Setting certificate (or equivalent)
• Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting & Other Obligations Early Childhood
• National child safety training - Foundation training
• You'll need to have, or be willing to obtain a valid Victorian Working with Children's Check - employee check
