Assistant Coordinator – Out of School Hours Care

Samuel Gilbert Out of School Hours Care is looking for an experienced Assistant Coordinator to join their leadership team in a child‑safe, community‑based environment. This role is vital in providing high‑quality care for up to 160 children, supporting daily operations, and mentoring staff within a dedicated, purpose‑built facility.

Requirement

• Must hold a Certificate IV in School Age Education and Care, Diploma in Children’s Services, Early Childhood, or a Teaching qualification.
• Current HLTAID012 certification (First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management) is essential.
• Valid Child Protection accreditation and Food Handling Basics training are required.
• Applicants must provide a Working with Children Check, National Criminal History Check, and a National Child Safety Training 2026 Certificate.
• Strong professional communication skills and a deep knowledge of National Child Safe Standards are necessary.

Work Conditions

• Negotiable part‑time or full‑time position offering 30–38 hours per week.
• Shift times are split between 6:45am–9:15am and 2:00pm–6:00pm, with admin hours scheduled between sessions.
