Job summary

ECS4Kids is seeking an Assistant Cook to support the preparation, transportation, and service of nutritious meals for children in Georgia. The role ensures meals meet USDA/CACFP guidelines while keeping kitchen areas clean, safe, and organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months of related food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of USDA/CACFP meal patterns and food safety standards preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to transport food between sites required.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation & Service: assist in preparing and serving meals according to menus and USDA/CACFP requirements.
• Kitchen Operations & Sanitation: maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas and utensils; follow food safety procedures.
• Inventory & Ordering: monitor food and supply inventory; assist with receiving deliveries.
• Documentation & Compliance: assist in keeping accurate meal records and inspection-related documentation.
• Food Transportation & Team Collaboration: safely transport meals between sites and coordinate with staff.
