Job summary

ECS4Kids (formerly Episcopal Children’s Services) is seeking a Kitchen staff member to prepare and serve meals for children in our Head Start program across Florida. You will maintain sanitation, follow USDA requirements, and support classroom activities as needed.

The role requires adherence to proper food safety practices, collaboration with staff, and flexibility to assist in other duties within the center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 6 months related experience preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation and hygiene procedures and participate in center maintenance.
• Adhere to food service schedule and dress code.
• Prepare, assemble and deliver breakfast, lunch, and snack on time for children.
• Maintain temperature tracking and stock of milk, formula, and paper products.
• Wash dishes daily and secure attendance from teachers during meal prep.
• Follow USDA requirements and Head Start standards; participate in trainings.
