Job summary

C-Care Wellkin is seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Cook to join our kitchen team in a fast-paced professional kitchen environment. You will assist in food preparation, help with cooking and plating, and maintain strict hygiene and safety standards.

We require at least 1 year of experience, NC3 in Food production, and a strong focus on cleanliness and presentation. Training will be provided to help you succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a similar position.
• NC3 in Food production.
• A passion for cooking and learning in a professional kitchen.
• Strong understanding of hygiene standards and HACCP guidelines.
• Well-presented with a neat and professional appearance.
• On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, following recipes and portion sizes accurately.
• Ensure ingredients are cleaned, chopped, and ready for cooking.
• Support the Head Chef in cooking, plating, and presenting dishes.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness by following hygiene standards and HACCP guidelines.
• Ensure proper storage of food items and monitor inventory levels.
• Help with kitchen setup and closing, ensuring equipment is clean for the next shift.
