Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller in Chandler, AZ for a hybrid, full-time role reporting to the VP of Accounting/Controller. The candidate will lead SEC reporting, technical memos, and close processes in a fast-paced public company setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating with external auditors, preparing footnotes and MD&A, and ensuring SOX compliance while supporting multi-entity consolidation and complex transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or in progress preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public company/SEC reporting.
• Strong US GAAP, SEC rules, and SOX knowledge.
• Experience with consolidations and multi-entity reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file periodic SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxies).
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accurate statements.
• Draft footnotes, MD&A, and other disclosures; assess ASC updates.
• Collaborate with auditors, law, and FP&A on reporting matters.
