South Carolina Education Lottery is seeking an Assistant Controller in Columbia, SC to oversee accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, and cash management. This role reports to the Director of Finance/Controller and leads AP/AR staff, ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration, 2+ years in governmental/public sector accounting, and CPA progression or certification.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a governmental/publicsector environment preferred.
• CPA in progress or CPA eligibility preferred; CGFM or similar certification considered.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and related accounting activities.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, schedules, and reports for decision-making.
• Provide supervision and development for AP/AR staff and manage internal controls.
