The SC Education Lottery seeks an Assistant Controller to oversee the accounting function, including AP/AR, GAAP compliance, and close processes. The position reports to the Director of Finance/Controller and may involve financial analysis and policy development.

Employment is at-will and not covered by the State Employee Grievance Procedures Act. Leadership of the AP and AR teams, guidance on internal controls, and coordination with auditors are key aspects of the role.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with progressive accounting experience.
• Preference for CPA or CPA candidacy; CGFM considered.

Mansioni

• Oversee SCEL accounting operations: general ledger, AP, AR, cash management.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and accurate financial records.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial adjustments.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closings and reporting.
• Supervise AP/AR staff and maintain internal controls.
