Job summary

Glocap Search seeks an Assistant Controller to support senior finance leadership and assist in accounting and reporting across private equity investments, fund vehicles, and family office operations.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA and 5–8+ years of accounting experience in private equity or related environments, with strong knowledge of capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, and fund reporting. Collaboration with external service providers is essential.

Qualifications

• CPA strongly preferred and highly desirable.
• 5–8+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience in private equity, alternative investments, fund accounting, fund administration, or a related environment.
• Strong understanding of capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, and fund financial reporting.
• Experience working with fund administrators and external service providers.
• Strong technical and systems skills; familiarity with private equity accounting systems and Citco is a plus.
• Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting and financial reporting for private equity and alternative investments.
• Manage fund accounting activities, including capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, and investment tracking.
• Assist with valuation and reporting for private investments.
• Coordinate with fund administrators, attorneys, tax advisors, and other external partners.
• Review fund financial statements, capital account activity, and administrator reporting.
• Support month-end accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Assist with tax reporting and coordination with external tax professionals.
• Support cash management, bill payment, and other day-to-day family office accounting needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, reporting, and automation.
