Job summary

MKH Search Limited is seeking an Assistant Controller for a mid-size contractor in Doral, FL. This in-office role offers mentorship toward the Controller position and exposure to senior leadership, PMs, and multiple business arms.

You will be a key finance partner, manage monthly closes, and help prepare financial statements as you grow into leadership. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in accounting, CPA preferred, and demonstrates strong communication and leadership potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• CPA (highly preferred)
• Strong communicator, comfortable with PMs and senior leadership
• Leadership potential
• QuickBooks and Procore experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare the financial statements
• Prepare for and run the monthly close
• Own projects, with exposure across the parent company and other business arms
• Partner weekly with the Controller, Leadership, and PMs
• Develop towards the Controller seat through direct mentorship
• Over time, lead and oversee a small team as the company grows
