Job summary

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction accounting, strong job costing, WIP, and ERP experience. The position offers on-site work, competitive salary, and a path to Controller responsibility within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in general contracting or construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting and job costing.
• Experience with work‑in‑progress reporting and percentage‑of‑completion accounting.
• Proficiency in general ledger, month‑end close, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP software and advanced Excel.
• CPA, CMA, or other certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller with day‑to‑day accounting and finance management.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and entries.
• Oversee general ledger activity and project accounting (job cost, WIP, %‑of‑completion).
• Monitor AR/AP, cash flow, and other accounting activities.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project reporting.
• Assist with audits, tax filings, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Improve accounting controls and automate processes where possible.
