Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and management reports.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and follow accounting policies.

• Assist with cash flow forecasting and management.
• Manage job cost accounting with labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on accounting professional with strong technical expertise and experience working in a project‑based or construction environment.

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Assist in overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and management.

Construction Accounting & Job Costing

• Manage and review job cost accounting, ensuring accurate allocation of labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
• Maintain and prepare Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) schedules and revenue recognition using percentage‑of‑completion methods.
• Monitor project profitability and provide insights to leadership.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project financial tracking.

Accounts Payable, Receivable & Payroll Oversight

• Oversee AP/AR processes, subcontractor billing, and collections.
• Ensure proper lien waiver tracking and subcontractor compliance.
• Assist with payroll accounting and job cost allocations.

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Support annual audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and financial reporting standards.

Leadership & Process Improvement

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
• Identify and implement process improvements and system efficiencies.
